Are home use pest control products effective?
First answer I would say is well in a way yes and no. Il explain.
My experience as a pest controller working for www.pestcontrol-company.co.uk is that many customers buy diy pest control products in the hope that it will solve the problem then find their selves calling a pest control company like pest control local to get rid of the pests.
Diy pest products do have insecticides or rodenticides in them so why do they not seem to work as effective as a pest controllers products.
Take our company www.pestcontrol-company.co.uk I am trained in pest control not only just placing bait down or spraying pesticides but how the insect or rodents works. where they hide what to look out for and the general behaviour of pests is something not to be taken lightly. after all what was the point in being trained in pest control if it was just as simple as buying diy products and putting bait down.
Companies that are selling diy products simply know that they can make money from a customer who wants to give it a go themselves then if it works great if it doesn’t well it was worth a try aptitude.
It is also a concern that companies are selling pest control products that although can be used by a person who can just put them down without training but I ask do they take into an account the safety of children animals and general health and safety of others. Every time I use pesticides I ware a safety mask overall ect ect never would I just let off a smoke generator with out safety equipment on. safety first is important when using pest control products. Please remember when employing a pest control company your not just paying for pesticides but their experience they think of others safety as well as there own. well most should :) Getting rid of bedbugs is an art not simplicity.
I do suppose that the companies selling diy products see it as well its written on the label so if people poison themselves its there own doing well hold our selves not responsible! I ask the ones selling these products to people would you use a smoke generator without a mask? errrm im sure that would be a no or a tumbleweed moment.
If your having problems with rats mice cockroaches wasp nests fleas is it not worth getting a professional to get rid of these? After all if these professional left the trade due to lack of work if these products do not work then who are you going to turn to?
My advice is why not just get a professional in in the first place? like it is possible for a customer to have a go at getting rid of the target pest like bed bugs they may seem they have been killed off but in fact unless the correct insecticide’s are used then there is a chance that you have just killed off a few and maybe there are eggs and larvae still around therefore not really controlling the problem. in fact the money spent means just spending it again if the problem persists.
I do understand that people would want to save money but the end result is the best option by far is to employ a pest control company like www.pestcontrol-company.co.uk than waste money before getting a pest control company in. after all who wants to pay twice? not me. Keep safe :)
